The Chinese Are Coming - to Mexico!
The Chinese are investing in Mexico’s infrastructure.
Ambassador Yin Hegmin visited the State of Sonora to discuss potential investment in the Port of Guaymas. According to local authorities, its preferential location close to the USA, and improved logistics enable goods to reach the USA with improved speed.
Mexico and China already have burgeoning trade in grains, minerals, and fisheries.
China is looking to improve its access not only to the Mexican market, but also the USA through Mexico.
The Chinese, worried about bottle-necks in the Port of Los Angeles are actively looking for supplementary conduits.
