The Port of San Antonio Grabs Pacific Coast Action

The port of San Antonio, TX has signed an agreement with the Port of Lazaro Cardenas in Mexico.

The partnership seeks to reduce costs and improve time to market. The Asian markets that is. According to projections, the cost will decrease by 65%, with a saving an improved transit time of 3 days. The plan is to accept shipments from China, Corea and Japan, and put them on rails to the USA.

This agreement gives the Port of San Antonio a conduit to the Pacific Logistics traffic, and it improves transit times for goods headed to Texas. The Port of Lazaro Cardenas is closer to San Antonio than the the Port of Laos Angeles
